I didn’t count today, but I did take pictures of what I ate
>> I woke up and had coffee (1 point), cereal (2 points) milk (2 points) and stopped counting today. It was my wife’s family birthday party get together. Her side of the family has this unusual birthday tradition .. that the birthday person has to not only PAY for the day’s dinner and activities, they also have to prepare it! Thankfully, my birthday is in July and I try to opt out on BBQ to even the score.
>> As for the Birthday Food Festival Saturday, I would like to say that I ate everything in moderation, but that’s about 50% correct, because there was some things I couldn’t really help myself! Everybody arrived around noon, and the last people left around 9pm, after we watched “Trailer Park Boys: The Movie”. My wife and I decided not to bother counting points - AT ALL - today, and partaked in everything .. such as:

I thought I would jot down a few of my thoughts about counting cereal points.
Generally, the nutritional information for cereals call for about 1-cup of cereal with 1/2 cup of milk, or skim milk. I prefer 2% milk, and that is 3 points per 1-cup. Also, 1 cup of cereal is like a really low bowl of cereal so I tend to overfill my bowl to make it overflowing. .. so, my first bowl is about 1-1/2 cups of cereal. I then put in about 3/4 cup of milk (otherwise the cereal will float out of the bowl and onto the table). And, when I finish my cereal, there is usually a little milk left in the bowl, so just pour in some more cereal in to utilize the rest of the milk in my bowl!
I very carefully measured out my cereal eating habits one day, and feel comfortable that in most situations, I end up eating about 2 cups of cereal with 1 cup of milk. I figure - when I’m desparate that none of my eating habits is helping me lose weight, this is one portion control I will get a better handle on to reduce my intake.

>> YTD Down 7.5 lbs.
Reflection
Two consecutive weeks down by 1/2 a pound each week .. Okay. Not that great .. I admit that - but, I ended up the week with unused splurge points and that’s one of my goals. I still need to find me a good Orange supply (I like those 4012 large oranges). I tried getting Mr. Sun oranges, but I did not like them. I bought me some Red Delicious Apples, but I can’t seem to eat them without many TBSP of honey to go along with it!
I should mention - on Tuesday it’s my wife’s birthday and there might be chocolates involved, but we are celebrating it on Saturday with the whole family .. including pies, cakes, chocolates, donuts, and main course Turkey with stuffing .. I have to remember this each day tracking my food intake and counting points.
